Coaching Philosophy
My philosophy is deeply seeded in assisting in developing well rounded young men by teaching not only athletic skills and the game of football, but more importantly the aspects of life which include academics and receiving the best education possible. My job as a coach is to help each member of our team reach their full potential as a student, an athlete, and as a person. The challenge of this responsibility is the reason why I believe we are in the coaching profession.
The cornerstones of my philosophy are discipline and having strong beliefs. Discipline is getting our players to do the right thing and a strong belief that you can accomplish your goals and dreams. I believe that it is my responsibility to enhance each scholar-athletes experience and learning environment by creating a positive and professional setting that will motivate them to strive towards achieving thier goals on and off the field. I will never lose sight of my main responsibility as a coach. Furthermore, I believe that the game of football is a great tool to teach some important lessons applicable in all areas of life:
Commitment
Dedication
Team work
Competition
Success
Accountability
Trust
Honesty
Loyalty
